Dr. Muhannad Al Mashhadani, Acting Director of Arabian Gulf University (AGU), announced that AGU will be a strategic partner for all initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, for the year 2017. This came during a press conference to unveil the announcement of His Highness’ social, humanitarian, cultural and sporting initiatives which was held the day before yesterday at Riffa Hall, in Regency Hotel.
Dr. Al Mashhadani said: “We are delighted as AGU to express our appreciation and pride for the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad in all aspects, the university always seeks to provide support for Bahraini youth in different activities and events.”
He added: “the participation of AGU comes as part of the university’s national duty towards the people of this beloved country, which is an integral part of the community partnership plan developed by the board of Directors to urge the youth to continue their education service to serve their country, and AGU was impressed with the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, especially as they cover many sides of the youth.”
Dr. Muhannad Al Mashhadani confirmed that AGU is an integral part of the fabric of this country, and what they offer to the youth is a fraction of its moral duty, stressing that the Bahraini youth are moving steadily towards a prosperous future, led by His Majesty the King of Bahrain, May God Protect Him; His Royal Highness the Prime Minister; His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister; and pointed out to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, for being at the top of the youth and sports pyramid.
Dr. Al Mashhadani explained: “Our entry as a strategic sponsor for these initiatives comes as part of our full belief that investment in youth has no losses, and we provide prizes that help the youth to study as part of our contribution to develop a well-educated Bahraini generation.”
