The first technical meeting of the third edition of the Khalid Bin Hamad Youth Theatre Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centres and People with Disabilities, under the slogan Painting_A_Smile, will be held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in Seef District, at 6.30 pm.
The meeting falls within the Committee’s work plan for the festivals’ early preparations, to be held for the third consecutive year amid great success, under the patronage of the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation. The establishment of the festival is one of the noble initiatives of His Highness in supporting youth in the cultural and humanitarian fields.
The festival will be held next October at the Muharraq Model Youth Centre, amid large and active youth participation from various leaders and representatives of national clubs, youth centres and people with disabilities.
The meeting will be held in the presence of the festival’s Evaluation and Judging Committee, in addition to representatives of National Clubs, Youth Centres and representatives of persons with disabilities.
Director of the festival, Jamal Al-Ghailan, and Chairman of the Evaluation Committee, Abdullah Sweid, will speak during the meeting, while the media person Hussain Said will conduct the meeting.
Review and Announcement
The meeting will be dedicated to reviewing all organizational matters pertaining to the festival, which will feature events accompanying the theatre performances. Two Gulf commentators will be hosted for shows and an intellectual seminar will be presented by Mr. Yousef Al-Hamdan at Abdul Rahman Kanoo Centre and Isa Cultural Centre.
The meeting will commence with a speech by the Director of the Festival, in addition to another speech by the Evaluation Committee, explaining the rules of participation in the festival.
The meeting will also announce the awards allotted to the winners in this edition, and will set the date of the festival.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to answer various queries by participant representatives of clubs, centres or those with disabilities.
