The Executive Committee of the Khalid Bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centers and People with Disabilities held a coordination meeting, attended by members of the Higher Organizing Committee including, Omar BuKamal and Nawar Al Mutawa, Head of the Media Committee Hazim Al Shaikh, Head of the Finance Committee Abdullah Al Mutawa, Director of the League Ali Al Arabi, Head of the Technical Committee and Referee Ali Said, Head of the Marketing Committee Mohammed Mashallah, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Committee Najem Yousef, Head of the Committee for People with Disabilities Ali Al Nabhan, and Head of the Public Relations and Promotion Committee Shaima Abdullah.
The meeting aimed to discuss the preliminary preparations for the league, which is under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association.
Approval of the number of participating teams and the final schedule
The Committee reviewed various aspects pertaining to the organizational matters of the league, which is to be held during the coming months of July and August at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation at the Isa Sports City in Riffa.
The Committee approved the league’s scheduled matches, which will include the participation of 36 Youth Centers representing the towns and villages of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The number of players participating in the competitions was also approved, and the Committee adopted to hold four games per day, according to the approved schedule of competition.
New rules to be announced during the technical meeting
The Committee selected Tuesday, May 23 as a date for the technical meeting of the participating teams. The technical meeting will be devoted to presenting the league’s regulations, in addition to the rules of the game, the method of registering the players and approving the team lists, in addition to the final date of submission of related statements. The meeting will also answer various questions and inquiries of the participating team representatives.
