HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad: We look forward to opening wider horizons of joint cooperation with the US Marine Corps

His Highness Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, met with General Robert Neller, United States Marine Corps Commandant at the Marine Corps University in Quantico. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of His Highness’ graduation from Command and Staff course at the University.

At the start of the meeting, HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief; and His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard.

His Highness then reviewed with General Robert the close relations between the two countries and the relationship between the Bahrain Defense Force with the US Army, which reflected in achieving this great cooperation and partnership in this field, and which has had a clear impact on raising the capabilities and readiness of the Bahrain Defense Force members.

HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa also discussed with General Robert ways to enhance cooperation and open wider horizons of joint coordination between the US Marine Corps and the Royal Guard Special Forces, to develop the military capabilities and abilities of the Royal Guard’s officers and personnel to contribute to the highest levels of military readiness.

During the meeting, HH Major General Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa exchanged commemorative shields with General Robert Neller, United States Marine Corps Commandant.

For his part, General Robert Neller, expressed his great pleasure in meeting with the Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, and expressed his pride in the developed Bahraini-American relations and other development at various levels, especially in the military. He stressed that doors are open to strengthen the relationship between the US Marine Corps forces and the Royal Guard Special Force, which are pushing for a continuous fruitful partnership between the two countries in this field.

The meeting was attended His Excellency Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Khalifa Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, and Brigadier Tariq Ghali, Major Shaikh Hassan bin Mohamed Al Khalifa and several officers.
